Just walking through town in kimono helps bring it to life. Will you join us?
Kimono Town Takahata
A grassroots revival that starts with one simple thing: wearing kimono.
Led by Hana Iguchi, founder of HANA Kimono Salon, sharing it all from Takahata.

Will you wear kimono with us?
Just walking through town in kimono helps bring it to life.
Won't you be part of that?
For more than twenty years, I've done hair-make and kimono dressing for weddings and on location.
Kimono was never meant only for "special days" — it's a living culture that belongs in everyday life.
Unless it becomes one more piece in our wardrobe, that culture will quietly slip away.
Out of that worry, I started something here in our own Takahata:
a small effort to bring kimono back into ordinary life.
Making Takahata a Town with the Charm of Kimono
A place worth a trip — through the quiet power of kimono.
Bring kimono back to daily life
Not just for special days. We want to make kimono an everyday wardrobe staple again, something to enjoy any time.
Give Takahata its own charm
Centered on Takahata-Fudoson, we'll create streetscapes worth walking in kimono and bring out the appeal of the town itself.
A town worth lingering in
We're after a town where people from Tokyo, neighboring prefectures, and overseas all say "for kimono, it has to be Takahata" — and make the trip on purpose.
Kimono Circle
Once or twice a month / strolls, tea gatherings, and events around Hino City.
What is the Kimono Circle?
Kimono lovers and the merely curious get together to stroll through Hino City in kimono and to hold tea gatherings and events.
Can't dress yourself yet? HANA's right there to help. Everyone's warmly welcome.

We'd Love to Take in Your Kimono
Have a kimono sitting unused at home? We'll gladly take it in, anytime.
Through our dressing lessons and circle, the kimono you pass along
find their way, with care, to the next person who'll wear them.
And if you ever think, "Maybe I'd like to wear one myself,"
we're always glad to help with our dressing service.
Come wear kimono with us, here in Takahata.
Whether it's your very first time or your first in years —
drop us an Instagram DM or an email, whatever's easiest.
